The St. Pete Run Fest’s Pier Run returns for its third annual edition Tuesday, July 4. Held in conjunction with the Independence Day holiday on St. Petersburg’s iconic Pier, the four-mile run/walk starts and ends on Spa Beach.
The main attraction of the St. Pete Run Fest’s Pier Run is the venue itself. Since its recent renovation and reopening, the Pier has become a gathering spot for locals and tourists alike; the unparalleled views of the waterfront and city skyline make every step of the run truly memorable.
This year’s event will feature renowned local vendors such as Rollin’ Oats handing out red, white and blue GoodPops, Bolay Fresh and Bold Kitchen doling out tasty bowls, and local craft breweries 3 Daughters Green Bench and Grand Central Craft Beer pouring cold rewards. Celsius will be there too, providing Fitness drinks to all.
For those with a competitive edge – and an appetite – the event will include a pie-eating competition.
Supporting the St. Pete Youth Farm, the Pier Run raises funds for constructing a community kitchen. The St. Pete Youth Farm is dedicated to empowering local young people through the development of urban agriculture. By contributing to this cause, the Pier Run fosters community and promotes healthy living.
The St. Pete Youth Farm will also showcase its mini gardens, providing attendees with an opportunity to explore and learn about sustainable farming practices. These gardens serve as a reminder of the importance of environmental stewardship, and offer inspiration for aspiring gardeners.
To create a vibrant and celebratory atmosphere, the Pier Run will feature live music performances from Urban Gypsies. In addition, sparklers will add a touch of magic to the evening.
The event will include the Back2Normal Recovery Zone. Here, professionals from Back2Normal Physical Therapy will offer post-run massages, stretching sessions, and other recovery services, ensuring participants can unwind and feel their best.
Registration is limited to 2,000 participants. Securing a spot early on (by registering in advance) is encouraged.
