Movies in the Park – Some Like It Hot

Movies in the Park is an annual tradition in St. Petersburg!

Where can you join the fun? North Straub Park – Beach Dr. between 4th & 5th Ave NE.

This October marks the 8th season for Movies in the Park.  The movies and music events are produced by Saint Petersburg Preservation.

Movies are FREE! Pay-What-You-Can Donation is appreciated. 🙂

Dusk – Movie

Some Like it Hot (1959) – With Marilyn Monroe. Two Chicago musicians, Joe & Jerry, witness a gangster shooting & need to get away. To do so, they land a gig as women with an all-girl band heading to Florida – the laughs never end!

Music starts at 6pm from Jennifer Real. Jennifer is a vocal dynamo with 15 years of professional session/tour/background singing for several major-labels. Her sound is reminiscent of Nina Simone, Annie Lennox, and Lisa Stansfield. Last year’s Watermark WAVE Award winner for Favorite Local Musician.

Purchase food & drink from our vendors or bring your own picnic. Bring a blanket or low seat (some folding chairs available), your friends, family and even your pup. This is a dog friendly event!
Cold beer from Lagunitas Brewing Co will be available for donation at theJump for Kids FL tent!

A great way to get to Movies in the Park is on bicycle! Pick up a bike from one of the many Coast Bike Share stations. Two convenient stations are located on either side of North Straub Park. If you bring your own bike, secure, on-site bicycle valet parking will be available thanks to Coast Bike Share!
