This year’s featured speaker for this event will be Mitch Landrieu, former Mayor of New Orleans came into the national spotlight when he advocated for and coordinated the removal of four Confederate monuments in New Orleans.

That powerful decision earned him the John F. Kennedy Profile in Courage Award. Landrieu came to prominence when he delivered an unforgettable speech about the monuments’ removal that launched him into the center of the national conversation on race and racism.
