Movies in the Park – Space Balls

October marks the 8th season for Movies in the Park, an event many refer to as “the best little event in the waterfront parks”! The movies and music events are produced by Saint Petersburg Preservation.

Movies are FREE! Pay-What-You-Can Donation is appreciated. 🙂
6pm – Music
Dusk – Movie

Space Balls (1987) PG – With Mel Brooks & John Candy. One of the great comedy spoofs. After a kidnapping by the race of Spaceballs, all of the air of Druidia is demanded as ransom – can Lone Star save the day?

Music by Holey Miss Moley starts at 6pm. Florida grown funk! A multi-piece funk-flavored rock-soul infused groove factory that will get you up and dancing. Their high-energy sound is reminiscent of old school 70’s funk, melded with elements of disco, jazz, soul, and hip-hop, creating a superb fusion that delights and energizes the crowd.

Purchase food & drink from our vendors or bring your own picnic. Bring a blanket or low seat (some folding chairs available), your friends, family and even your pup. This is a dog friendly event!

Cold beer from Mastry’s Brewing Co will be available for donation at the Jump for Kids FL tent!

A great way to get to Movies in the Park is on bicycle! Pick up a bike from one of the many Coast Bike Share stations. Two convenient stations are located on either side of North Straub Park. If you bring your own bike, secure, on-site bicycle valet parking will be available thanks to Coast Bike Share!
